Open to everyone
The station is run out of the University of Edinburgh and broadcasts from it’s studio in the Pleasance societies’ centre. Its membership comprises students from across Edinburgh, including those from Napier, Heriot-Watt, Stevenson College and QMU, as well as any member of the public who has an interest in the media and lives in the area.
When does Fresh Air broadcast
Fresh Air broadcasts 24 hours a day online, except academic holidays. This is done through this very website - just click the big ‘Listen Live’ button! You can hear live programmes from our huge variety of presenters every day. When our live-shows are not running, our eclectic playlists are, and you can listen to them 24/7. To find out what you are listening to, please check out our schedule, right here.
Diverse Radio
The whole time that Fresh Air broadcasts, we are committed to diversity in our programming. With over 65 different shows a week, an unrestrictive music policy and our very own alternative playlist, you will hear different music and chat to any other radio station. Fresh Air also has our own in-house news programming, as well as comedy and drama.
Events
Throughout the year, Fresh Air puts on events and club nights open to everyone, for example the huge Club Together, which brings some of Edinburgh’s biggest club DJs together under one roof annually. Events are very varied with anything from Indie nights to Swing dance nights to speed dating.
