Manager – Tim Burke
The manager is ultimately responsible for the station, is the first point of contact, and is responsible for overseeing station activities and acquiring the radio licenses. Please contact for further information about Fresh Air.
Assistant Manager – Richard Vause
‘Assists’ the manager! The assistant manager also deals with any odd-jobs not covered by other committee positions. I’m here to help members and non-members alike so, please, get in touch.
Treasurer – Finlay Niven
The treasurer keeps the books perfectly; they also must hunt down and kill those people who go spending station money and who don’t keep receipts.
Secretary – Charlie McDonagh
Minutes minutes minutes. The secretary is also the first point of contact for all new members, can do you a great deal on membership and can also answer general queries or point you in the right direction.
Publicity – Louise Jameson
A radio station needs listeners, and there ain’t gonna be too many of them without some publicity. Liaises with local publications to get our awesome events on listings, organises chalking nights, flyer drops, poster runs and Fresh Air’s trusty team of publicity makers.
Programming – Richard Hanrahan
The head of programming is responsible for listening to demos and sorting out a schedule for our broadcasts.
Arts – Katy Hetherington
Co-ordinates the arts team to put together the weekly cultural review show and any larger team projects such as comedy or drama productions.
News – Anna Fenton
Co-ordinates Fresh Air’s own in-house news team to produce a weekly factual broadcasting programme. E-mail Anna for more info on being part of the Fresh Air news team.

Development – Laura Ennor
This role entails training members new and old on how to use all the features of our fabulous studio, as well as ‘developing’ both the station and individual members to the fullest of their radio potential.
Studio 2 – Jason Bond
Co-ordinates the usage of our great new studio two! Organises pre-recorded shows and show features, and other off-air specials such as recording band sessions and interviews.
Head of Advertising – Cara Guthrie
Point of contact for any organisation, company or person wishing to advertise on Fresh Air in any way, including custom made on-air and web adverts. Please email if you would like to know our current (really cheap!) rates.
Head of Sponsorship – Rubina Pabani
Point of contact for any organisation, company or person wishing to sponsor some of Fresh Air’s larger projects including Fresher’s Week, the Edinburgh Media Ball or the Fringe Festival broadcast.
Head of IT – Paul Murray
There’s a lot of computing power behind Fresh Air and someone needs to keep it all ship shape.
Design – Simon Vansintjan
Responsible for the visual representation of the station, creating flyers, posters, merchandise and logos for events and the station.
Web – George Buckenham
Keeps the website fresh with content and up-to-date posts.
Head of Production – Dan Moss
The head of production makes the station jingles, has a team of producers to cover shows and also deals with anything else that might need producing.
Head of Technical – Jordan Rogers-Smith
Responsible for the equipment in the studio, and its functioning.
Head of Clubs and Events – Chris Imlach
Keeping music live! This position organises a range of gig and club nights across Edinburgh in order to promote the best new talent under our established brand ‘Fresh Air Live’. Also provides DJ training to members.
