Without fundraising and advertising there would be no FreshAir.org.uk. Unlike most other student stations, we do not receive funding from the University, so it is entirely up to us to raise the thousands we need each year through advertising and traditional fundraising. We strive to source on-air and online advertising for the station to generate funds. Also, we lead a team who are responsible for coming up with great ideas for moneymaking stunts and running them successfully. For example, every Christmas we hold our Naked Banner singing Christmas carols on Princes Street, as well as many other varied fundraising ventures. Organising such events is great fun and also great experience for the old CV.
