FreshAir.org.uk Playlist: 9/11 from freshairmusic on 8tracks Radio.

1. SANTIGOLD - CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF MYSELF

2. VARSITY - SO SAD, SO SAD
Varsity are a band from Chicago of four boys who play pop rock style music under lead singer Steph’s dream vocals. Melancholy melodies stand out over electric guitars and drums proving the sometimes girls really do run the world (or really good bands). Katie Brookfield

3. SHIT PRESENT - ANXIOUS TYPE

4. SIA - BIRD SET FREE
SIA is the current queen of the powerful ballad, and her latest release is a fine example of that.Rachel Earnshaw

5. MARTHA - SIX MEN GETTING SICK SIX TIMES
From the recent split with Radiator Hospital, this is something entirely different from Durham punx Martha. Martha always manage to make the listener feel warm and safe and this is another example of that. Showcasing their unique vocals and showing a slightly softer side to the band.RE

6. JULIEN BAKER - SOMETHIING
It’s hard not to fall in love with Julien Baker’s new album ‘Sprained Ankle’ straight away, and ‘Something’ is the perfect place to start. Her husky, echoing voice, atmospheric guitar sounds and artful song writing makes her perfect to beat these rainy day blues.KB

7. RATBATH - CEREAL BOX
Ratbath’s songs are short, sweet and folky. Cereal Box is just ukulele and Karlie Efinger’s breathy vocals, but it’s the perfect home grown sound, making you feel like you’re just chilling out in her bedroom playing some tunes.KB

8. MEERNAA - CONSTANT LOVE
Meernaa are new kids on the block from California so Constant Love is one of their only available tracks, but it shows huge promise for what’s to come. Singer Carly Bond’s vocals are a cross between Kimbra and Lianna La Havas, with a driving drum beat and bluesy bass. What’s not to love?KB

9. JUSTIN BIEBER - I’LL SHOW YOU
One of the biggest surprises of 2015 is how hotly anticipated the new Justin Bieber album is. The latest track released from it, is something much more slowed down and atmospheric than we’ve previously seen. The catchy synth hooks are still there, and there’s no doubting that Bieber has a great voice.RE

10. ARIANA GRANDE - FOCUS
Whilst the simultaneous hyper-sexualisation and infantilisation of Grande, the brand, might make me feel a bit uncomfortable, she is constantly producing some of the freshest pop music we’ve seen in recent years. With obvious jazz undertones, Focus shows of Grande’s impressive, sultry vocals. RE

11. TUMBLEWEED WANDERERS - GHOST

12. EPSILONA - GOING HOME

13. CHROMATICS - GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE SOME

14. CONNAN MOCKASIN & DEV HYNES - LA FAT FUR

15. GRIMES - SCREAM
